What You Can Learn From Your Coffee Maker

mlm blogCan Your Mind Be Too Powerful?

Today my good ole, trusty coffee maker taught me a valuable lesson that I can use in my everyday life.

Last night I set this aged but loved contraption to start filling the air with the aroma that dreams are made of and as always it delivered beautifully. I do not jump at every new gadget on the market and my caffeine enabler is quite a few years old but still has the automatic settings to start brewing while I am in sleep mode.

I carelessly grabbed my #1 Dad mug and poured myself a cup of this black gold. I’m a coffee lover so hold the cream and sugar. I brought this cup of heaven to my lips and took that first glorious sip. Now, I can face the day! I noticed as I put my cup down to savor the flavor that  I had a mouthful of coffee grounds. Not a pleasant surprise.

I looked in my cup and there were more of these floaters for lack of a better term. In a panic I checked the pot and these specks were a recurring theme. Once I looked inside the machine, I realized the problem. The built in filter that is part of my coffee maker had a hole in it, not a big deal but it was a bummer when I wanted my caffeine fix.

This made me think about my daily routines, of course I should be looking for holes in the filter before they happen. It also reminded me that our brains are so powerful that they will accept what we give it. Our sub-conscience is a workhorse that will not reject anything because it wants to process everything, it wants to help us succeed.

This is very powerful but it is also very flawed. If we let our brains have access to both negative and positive thoughts you will dilute the positive mindset that will help you succeed. Do you have a filter? If you fill your mind with good productive thoughts your results will be positive and productive as well.

Some people will recite affirmations and surround themselves with positive, like-minded people. Reading books and listening to CD’s can help also promote  a feel good mentality. It doesn’t matter how you get there, just make the effort to change and create the lifestyle you want.

Leave your information if you enjoyed my mlm blog and would like to see the system that I use to generate a residual income without affecting my current employment situation. As always I encourage your comments below.

  1. It is very powerful when you surround yourself with positive, like-minded people. One can’t help but feel their energy. Great post!

      Thanks Colleen,
We pick each other up and reinforce the message that we try to adhere to. I always think of when I was a kid and my parents would tell me that you are the company you keep. I thought they were nuts.

      Have a Great Day,
      -Dominick
